Publisher Electronic Arts has announced the official release date for the game Need for Speed: Shift, reports IGN. The next race of the series will go on sale across Europe on 17 September this year. Note that in game advertising trailer shows another date - 18 September. On the shelves of North American stores the new version of Need for Speed will be 22 September.
The official announcement of the game took place in early February of this year. The creation of this project is Slightly Mad Studios. Also in development is participating Executive Producer EA Black Box, Michael Mann (Michael Mann). Recall that Need for Speed: Shift will be released on consoles PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PSP, as well as on personal computers.
The new part of Need for Speed would be a realistic racing simulator, in which gamers will be able to follow the developments of the cab car. The developers noted that the game will be presented to the actual track. They also added that the Shift will be the largest selection of cars in the history of series Need for Speed.
At this moment in the development are still two games: Need for Speed: Nitro for Wii and Nintendo DS, as well as Need for Speed: World Online for PC. The first to be launched near the fall. The American release of World Online is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year. In Asia, the project start in summer.
Recall that in late 2008, rumors emerged about the possible closure of series Need for Speed. According to journalists, the leadership of EA were not lower the assessment and are not too impressive sales of the latest games. However, the publisher of this information did not comment.
